Aachen will be the center of the equestrian world for nearly two weeks in August. The FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 are scheduled for August 11-23, 2026, and the program includes six disciplines: dressage, eventing, vaulting, show jumping, para-dressage, and four-in-hand driving. All this information is provided by the official championships website, which indicates Aachen and the Allianz Park grounds as the venue for the competitions.
The Polish Equestrian Federation has published announcements with the Polish national team rosters for five of these disciplines. Below is a summary based solely on these announcements.
Championship Calendar: When does each discipline start?
According to the program published by the organizers, the competition opens with dressage (August 11-15). The Grand Prix, which is also the team final and individual qualification, will be held on August 11 and 12. The individual Grand Prix Spécial final is scheduled for August 14, and the Grand Prix Freestyle final will take place on the evening of August 15 under artificial lighting.
Eventing (August 12-16) begins with the horse inspection on August 12. The dressage phase will take place on August 13 and 14, the cross-country on August 15, and the decisive show jumping competitions on August 16.
Vaulting (August 13-16) includes individual competitions for women and men, i.e., compulsory, technical, and freestyle tests, as well as team competition: Squad Compulsory Test and Squad Free Test. The Pas de Deux Free Test final and the Official Team Competition Free Test are scheduled for August 16.
Show jumping (August 19-23) opens with the first competition on August 19, which is a team and individual qualification. The second competition and team final are spread over August 20 and 21, and the individual final with medal decisions is scheduled for August 23.
Concurrently, from August 19-23, para-dressage will be held. Competitors from five grades (I-V) will start in the qualifying Grand Prix Test A and Grand Prix Test B on August 19 and 20, and the individual Grand Prix Freestyle final is set for August 23.
Four-in-hand driving (August 20-23) enters the arena last: dressage on August 20 and 21, marathon on August 22, and the cone driving competition along with the medal ceremony on August 23.
The organizers announced an opening ceremony on August 11 from 8:15 PM to 9:45 PM, featuring over 250 horses, as stated on the championships website. Allianz Park Day with free admission is scheduled for August 17, and the closing ceremony on August 23 is covered by a ticket for the Sunday show jumping day.
Dressage: four pairs and a reserve pair
The PZJ announcement regarding dressage listed four pairs:

- Aleksandra Popławska-Ślązak & Sambalito
- Hubert Jankowski & Guerlain
- Roy First & Infinity Win T
The reserve pair is Susanne Krohn and Titolas. Dominika Kraśko was appointed chef d'équipe, and veterinary care is provided by vet Małgorzata Świderek-Baran.
Eventing: one pair representing Poland
In the eventing competition, Poland is represented by one pair: Joanna Pawlak and Armin de Monsieur. Paweł Spisak combines the roles of chef d'équipe and trainer, and Kamila Cygan and Anna Bajko were also mentioned in the announcement.
Vaulting: two separate teams, team and individual
The PZJ published two announcements regarding vaulting, separately for team and individual competition.

Nokturn Jagodne was designated as the team horse.

In both announcements, the same staff was indicated: Michelle Küng as chef d'équipe and lunger, Tomasz Ogonowski as lunger, and Anthony Bro-Petit as coach.
Show Jumping: the largest Polish team
The largest Polish team was entered for the show jumping competition. The PZJ announcement listed five pairs:

Wojciech Wojcianiec and the horse Aliean Zin'Galeriani were indicated as a reserve. The team coach is Maciej Wojciechowski, and the physiotherapist is Ricardo Caldini.
Equishop Team riders are on the show jumping team

Para-dressage: four riders and a reserve pair
The PZJ nominated four riders for the para-dressage world championships:

The reserve pair are Magdalena Cycak and Easy Boy. The team coach is Jarosław Poręba, the physiotherapist is Marcin Ganowski, and the staff also includes caretakers: Urszula Krzewicka, Marta Polaczek-Bigaj, Karolina Młodawska, Justyna Milej Markiewicz, and Sambor Nestorowicz.

We cheer for all Polish pairs competing in Aachen and support them in these preparations. Sport at this level is the work of entire teams, from rider and horse, through coaches and physiotherapists, to the caretakers mentioned in the PZJ announcements.
