There are places you come back to gladly – and Equika in Sarnów is firmly one of them. Agnieszka's yard has been full of life for years: training, competitions and riding enthusiasts who together make it something special. This year we had the pleasure of partnering the show for the second time, and we came away even more certain it is worth being there.
Agnieszka told us what running a yard looks like day to day, what drives her to organise each new edition of the Silesia Cup, and where the energy you feel in every corner of the place comes from. Hear it for yourself: our interview with Agnieszka Kamola.
Equika – where the yard is and who runs it
Equika is in Sarnów, a district of Będzin in Upper Silesia. The centre is run by Agnieszka Kamola – a rider and trainer who combines daily work with horses with organising competitions and building the local riding community. It is her commitment that has made Equika a draw for riders from across the region and beyond.
What went on at Equika this year
The 2026 season at Equika was an intense one. Three events were held on the host yard's arena:
-
Equika Silesia DressageCup – a dressage series run over five tours: Amber (L1, L2 and L3), Bronze (L2, L3 and L4), Silver (P1, P2 and P5), Gold (N4, N5 and N8) and Platinum (C1-A, C-2 and C-4)
-
Silesia JumpingCup – show jumping over the tours: Amber (60, 70 and 75 cm), Bronze (80, 85 and 90 cm), Silver (100, 100 and 105 cm), Gold (110, 110 and 115 cm) and Platinum (120, 120 and 125 cm)
- Southern Poland Dressage Championships – a prestigious regional fixture that drew the best riders from the south of the country
Full schedules and results for all the classes can be followed on the Zawody Konne portal (zawodykonne.pl).
Our customers and partners were well represented on the start lists – among those competing in the dressage arena was Team Kowalski, who know Equika well.
Equishop as a partner of the shows at Equika
As we did last year, we provided Equika with prizes for the competition. We want every prize to be something that genuinely serves the rider – which is why we choose equipment that actually matters around horses. Because the best training in the world counts for nothing if you haven't first made sure of getting safely to the end of the round.
Supporting local yards and the shows they run is a deliberate choice, not a coincidence. We know that Polish equestrian sport neither begins nor ends in the big arenas – it grows in places exactly like Equika, where a passion for horses turns into real work: daily training, well-run competitions and a community that keeps itself going. We want to be part of that – not only as an equipment supplier, but as a partner who cares about local riding developing. That's why we get involved in shows run by yards like Equika, and we hope to keep doing so for a long time.
Safety isn't a marketing slogan for us. That's why our range includes riding helmets from the leading brands, body protectors and saddles fitted to both horse and rider – and if you're unsure which is right for you or your child, our advisory team is here to help.
See you next year
A trip to Sarnów is always more for us than handing over prizes and taking a few photographs. It's the conversations with riders, trainers and owners who share their experience and what they expect from their equipment. That is where we take the most from – and it shapes what we do at Equishop day to day. Working with Equika means building a relationship with a riding community that values quality and safety. We're keeping our fingers crossed for another good season, and we hope to be back in Sarnów for a third time next year.
