Saddle flap restitching at Equishop Service Centre repairs stitching that has come undone, worn through or broken. The flap is the leather panel on the side of the saddle, with the saddle buttons visible on its outer surface. Its seam follows the outline from near the seat down the rear edge and along the lower edge towards the front. The repair covers this length of stitching, not just a single point. The seam flexes with every ride and can wear over time, particularly on heavily used or second-hand saddles. Repairs are carried out at Equishop Service Centre, ul. Safety and care
We do not recommend delaying repair of an open seam. Continued riding can make it worse and cause the leather to flex differently from the manufacturer's intended design, making later repairs harder. After restitching, clean and condition the leather regularly; dry leather can crack around stitching. Do not dry the saddle beside a heater or in direct sunlight, and avoid DIY repairs with unsuitable thread, as uneven stitching can stretch the original stitch holes.

- We repair the seam. If more extensive work is needed, we explain this before carrying it out.

What does restitching include?
Repairing a seam that has come undone, worn through or broken. We assess the surrounding leather first to confirm that it can be repaired.
Is the price for one side or both?
PLN 490 covers one flap. Select Both sides if both flaps need repair; the service price is then PLN 980 before transport.
Do you repair flaps on other saddle brands?
Yes, all brands. We inspect the leather and seam to confirm that the repair is possible.
How can I tell if a flap needs restitching?
The seam is visibly open, the thread is worn or broken, or the leather edge is lifting. Send us a photo if you are unsure.
Can I ride with an open flap seam?
We do not recommend it. The damage can worsen with continued riding, making the repair more difficult and expensive. Earlier attention usually means less work.

What if the leather itself is worn through?
