Half flocking at Equishop Service Centre involves removing wool and flattening the middle and rear sections of the panels on a Prestige Italia or Renaissance saddle, starting approximately behind the stirrup bars. This allows the saddle to sit closer to the horse's back, giving the rider closer contact and a better feel for the horse's movement. This service is available only for wool-flocked saddles and is carried out at Equishop Service Centre, ul. Oświęcimska 9, Ruda Śląska, Poland.

Safety and saddle fit
Half flocking does not replace a saddle fitting assessment. We remove only as much wool as the panel construction allows. Excessively flat panels can compromise pressure distribution, so we do not remove extra wool as a precaution. This service is not available for foam- or latex-filled saddles.

- We remove wool from the middle and rear sections, starting behind the stirrup bars, and flatten the panels symmetrically.
- Your saddle is ready for collection within 48 hours of arrival.

Does half flocking replace saddle fitting?
No. It adjusts the filling within the existing panels and does not replace an assessment by a saddle fitter.
Can wool be added again afterwards?
Yes. Wool flocking is adjustable. If your horse's back changes, we can adjust the amount of wool again at Equishop Service Centre.
