Fine leather, Vibram® sole

„A stiff shaft provides stability and properly positions the leg. Your leg doesn't swing around like it would in a boot with a soft shaft, because you have different support, even in the stirrup. And from the inside, the soft leather gives you closeness. You can feel the horse well and don't need to make acrobatic foot movements to touch it.”

Frequently Asked Questions
How to order custom-made riding boots?
For custom-made DeNiro riding boots, we start with precise measurements. If you wish to have this done in our showroom, please arrive at least an hour before closing time so that we have enough time to calmly take the correct measurements. It is best to come for the measurement wearing the breeches and riding socks you usually ride in. Our experts will take care of the rest – we will take the necessary measurements and help you configure your riding boots. Specific attire is not required; on-site, you will be provided with appropriate clothing for measuring the boots. Prefer to have measurements taken directly at your stable? Contact us at +48 32 782 45 68, and we will arrange a convenient visit time.
How to choose the right size for DeNiro riding boots?
You will need three measurements: foot size (EU), calf circumference at the widest point, and shaft height from the floor to the bend of the knee. Find these three values in the DeNiro chart – the full size is a combination of all three, not a single number. If any measurement falls on the boundary of the ranges, please contact us before ordering.
Do the riding boots slouch?
Leather is a material that works – under the influence of movement and heat it molds to the leg, and the shaft drops by about 2 cm. New tall boots are therefore intentionally taller and stiffer than they will be after the break-in period. A boot that initially lightly touches the back of the knee usually settles into place after a dozen rides. Therefore, do not choose a shorter variant "just in case" and do not plan your first ride in new tall boots before a competition.
How to measure your calf?
Standing, in breeches and high riding socks, with your body weight on both legs. Wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your calf, usually 3–5 cm below the bend of the knee. The tape should be snug, but not digging into the muscle. Do not flex your calf. Measure both legs – for variant selection, use the measurement of the larger calf.
How to measure the height of a leg?
Sit down, placing your foot flat on the floor with your knee bent at a right angle. Measure from the floor up the outside of your calf to the bend in your knee. Measuring with your leg straight while standing will give a result a few centimetres too long - your leg is bent in the saddle. Also, remember that riding boots are made of leather, and this material stretches - boots will drop by +/- 2 cm.
What if I'm between sizes?
First, check your measurement technique – most “in-between” results are due to measuring while seated, without riding socks, or with a tensed muscle. If the measurement is confirmed, the choice depends on the model and cut, so there's no single rule here. Send us three measurements and the model name – we'll indicate an option or suggest Made to Measure.
What should I do if I'm not sure about the size?
You don't have to decide this alone. Reading the chart for the client is a standard part of our job, not a favor – and we do it daily for riding boots. You have three options: Remotely - send us three numbers: foot size, calf circumference, and shaft height. We will read the chart and provide the specific variant designation. In-store - come for a fitting to our Fitting Center at Oświęcimska 9 in Ruda Śląska. We will assess your leg, and you can compare models and shaft stiffness in person. At your stable - book our fitter, we will take measurements on-site. When purchasing in this price range, pre-order consultation is the cheapest part of the entire process. We want you to make the best choice.
How are custom-made tall boots produced?
1. Store visit. We assess the leg and take measurements. 2. Configuration. You review personalisation options - leather, colour, stitching, toe caps, crystals - and decide on the model. 3. Confirmation email. You receive a summary: measurements, full configuration, pricing, and information about the non-returnable nature of custom-made boots. 4. 50% down payment. After your confirmation and down payment, we order the boots from DeNiro Boot Co. 5. Fulfilment 4–6 weeks. The email before production is not a mere formality. It's the moment when you can check and change everything - after the down payment, the boot is already being made to your measurements.
Can I return custom-made riding boots?
No. Custom-made riding boots are an individual order based on your configuration and measurements. Therefore, according to our terms and conditions, they are not subject to return or exchange. Once the terms are approved and the down payment is made, the design cannot be changed. This is why, before production, you receive an email summarizing the measurements, configuration, and quote for your approval—nothing moves forward until you confirm it.
I'm afraid to order custom-made. Is there another option?
Yes. Bellini in ready sizes - Daily Plus and LUX Edition - you buy under standard store terms. Made to Measure makes sense when your measurements don't fit into the grid of ready sizes. Come for a fitting to the Fitting Center at Oświęcimska 9 in Ruda Śląska or send us three measurements - we will tell you directly which way to go.
