A more stable version of the Rubino
The Prestige Italia Rubino MD AS-X Forte is a jumping saddle from the Premium line that combines the flexible tree with a semi-deep seat. It is designed for riders who want clearer pelvic support and a more central position, while keeping the flexible construction and close contact typical of the Rubino.
Semi-deep seat and a more central position
The semi-deep seat gives clearer support than the MF version and helps keep the rider closer to the centre of the saddle. This is especially noticeable when riding in a full seat, on more difficult distances and when you need to regain balance quickly.
Forte leather - durability, comfort and grip
The Forte version uses double bull leather designed for regular, intensive use. It offers high durability and very good grip, which together with the more stable Rubino MD seat helps you keep a secure contact during demanding training. Flap thickness approx. 6 mm, available in black only.
Configuration
The Rubino MD AS-X Forte is available with 16", 17" and 18" seats and tree widths from 31 to 37. Flaps come in different lengths and projections, and blocks can be chosen in small or large. A wide choice of panels lets you fit the saddle even more closely to the horse.

Technology
AS-X tree
AS-X combines two Prestige technologies: Adaptive System and X-Technology. The tree follows the movement of the horse's back while the rider stays stable.
- Adaptive System - a shock-absorbing system with a central joint that lets the tree work lengthwise as well as sideways and in torsion.
- X-Technology - wide, injection-moulded membranes in the rear give comfort and stability in the saddle.
- On the course - a more effective take-off, less impact on landing and a smoother return to canter; the rider has a better-placed centre of gravity and a more stable lower leg.
- Tested - the technology was studied by the independent EquInnoLab laboratory; preliminary results show clearly better performance of AS-X saddles in the phases of the jump.
Construction
Close contact without unnecessary layers
- Slim front - the front part is kept as thin as possible, so you feel the horse closer - close contact.
- Wide rear membranes - give a feeling of stability and a deeper seat.
- Narrow twist, unisex tree - a narrow twist and the same performance for women and men.
- Blocks open at the front - the sweat flap can flex and the panel lies against the shoulders without restricting their movement.
- Cut-outs in the flaps - better communication between horse and rider.

Tree width
A saddle that changes with your horse
The Rubino tree is made from a blend of synthetic fibres and is thermo-active. When the horse gains or loses muscle, the tree width can be widened or narrowed - without replacing the saddle.
- Sizes 31-37 - these indicate the width of the front of the tree, not centimetres.
- By 1, 2 or 3 sizes - wider or narrower, always relative to the saddle's factory size.
- 2 working days - that is how long the service takes at the Equishop workshop in Ruda Śląska, counting from the day after the saddle arrives.
- Lifetime warranty on the tree - given by Prestige Italia, with the exclusions set out in the warranty terms.

Rubino saddle - frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Rubino MD and MF?
MD has a semi-deep seat that places the rider in a more central position. MF has a semi-flat seat and gives more freedom of movement. The AS-X tree, leathers and sizes are the same in both versions.
Wool (LPF) or latex - which panels should I choose?
LPF (Light Performance Fit) panels are filled with synthetic Dacron fibre covered with an elastic Airnet mesh and a layer of soft foam. They are light, springy and adapt to the horse's back, and the filling can be adjusted in the workshop.
Latex panels are made of polyurethane, which does not compress and keeps its properties over the years. They are the choice for riders who want a comfortable, sporty saddle without thinking about panel maintenance.
What is the difference between D, Lux, Elite and Forte leather?
D is natural, oiled calfskin - very soft, with a fine grain. Lux is double vegetable-tanned leather with good grip and exceptional durability (black or havana). Elite is double, oiled calfskin with maximum softness - the only one available in London colour. Forte is double bull leather that combines durability with softness and grip; made for intensive work, black only.
What is the AS-X tree?
AS-X combines the Adaptive System - a shock-absorbing system with a central joint that lets the tree work lengthwise, sideways and in torsion - with X-Technology, i.e. wide, injection-moulded membranes in the rear of the saddle. As a result the saddle follows the movement of the horse's back while the rider stays stable.
Can the tree width of the Rubino saddle be changed?
Yes. The tree is thermo-active and the width of its front is changed on a special machine - by 1, 2 or 3 sizes wider or narrower, relative to the factory size. At the Equishop workshop the service takes 2 working days. See the tree width adjustment service.
Which seat size should I choose: 16, 17 or 18"?
The size depends on the rider's height, thigh length and build, and on the length of the horse's back. The surest way is to choose it during a fitting with our saddle fitter.
Is saddle fitting included in the price?
No - the purchase does not include a saddle fitting service. You book the fitting separately with our experts, who work throughout Poland. Details can be found on the Service page.
What warranty does the Rubino saddle have?
Prestige Italia gives a lifetime warranty on the tree, with the exclusions set out in the warranty terms (e.g. accidents, improper use or unauthorised modifications). That is why adjustments should be made in an authorised workshop such as the Equishop Service.
How does a test ride on the Rubino saddle work?
We start with a consultation with our saddle expert, Monika Zastrzeżyńska-Rychwalska. Then you can try the saddle on your own horse: we send it to you and you send it back after the trial, or our saddle fitter brings it. How long do I have to wait for a Rubino saddle?
If we do not have a configuration suited to you and your horse in stock, we order it from the manufacturer - delivery then takes 4-8 weeks. Versions marked “in stock” are shipped immediately.

Yes. We work with Santander Consumer Bank - you can spread the payment over up to 60 instalments.
